CoffeehouseA spot for chilling out and cultural events in Friedrichshain : the Coffehouse Les Enfants Terribles. On the menu: freshly prepared food, a great selection of hot and cold drinks, all topped off with tasty desserts. A neighbourhood friendly place where you can grab you coffee in the morning, find some fast but healthy meal at midday or take place to write, read or work, in a cosy atmosphere, and feel like home. The baroque chic meets the bistro style, all modernized, to result a practical and comfortable room. You are first welcomed by the counter, a massive slate grey classic inspired with its moulding, made to measure to fit perfectly the needs of the team. Behind it, the wooden boards and dark steel pipe wall mounted and floor standing industrial shelf shows the brick wall at his best. The vibrating dark red wooden floor is slaked by the clear Perl white walls. A dark grey blue come between the windows to highlighting the architecture.

The Berlin private school “Mathematics in Berlin” asked to assist them in the design of their new 300 square rental unit. Since 2007 they prepare separate students to examinations. Thanks to its excellent reputation, the school has grown so strongly in recent years that larger rooms have been needed. I developed a concept that reflects the philosophy of the young, flexible and experienced teaching staff in the rooms. In the entrance area I took a special attention to the color concept.
On the one hand, a dynamic environment should be created that encourages instructors and students equally as well as flexibility and strength. I selected a range of accessories and furniture in citrus hue from orange to yellow because this colors symbolize energy. On the other hand, an atmosphere of serenity and clarity should prevail in the rooms, in order to take the students anxiety. As a second hue I choose a bright blue with turquoise undertones, which I translated into the wall and floor design.

I conceived the reception to mesure with light plywood panels. The wood decor continues on the wall behind the counter and thus becomes an appealing panel. The slanting out lines in the wall design and the offset carpets in the lounge clearly delineate the different areas of the entrance and underline the dynamic and young image of the customer. Fresh green plants, which are used throughout the office, emphasize this impression. The large classrooms are simply furnished in order to let the student concentrate and learn.
Different chairs were ordered and tested for functionality, before a model was found that is both good looking and comfortable for longer sitting. The simple color concept continues in the office rooms of the management and teaching staff. Some classic furniture in Mid-Century style like Eames inspired chairs and tables fit particulary the typical office buildings with their relatively low ceilings and carpet floors. Green pot plants, trendy accessories such as the String wall shelf and dark wood furniture complete the overall picture.

I have created a trendy design concept for this shop enabling it’s unique range of quality products to be highlighted.
As there is a strong streetwear aesthetic, I chose to set the products in an urban type decor. Using concrete, steel and plywood I created an atmosphere that reminds us of the spirit in a big industrial city. Items hang from steel scaffolding-like structures while others simply but elegantly lay folded on a construction-like plywood platform. Two walls are covered with a bold concrete effect wallpaper. Wall one; as a background for playfully hung funky bags. Wall two; for a steel coat hanger system. We painted the existing furniture and ceiling with a slate green, blending with the existing light blue floor. The new fresh, contemporary setting is completed with a spot light installation to bring everything alive!

Since 2011 MaGarderobe, located in the trendy district of Friedrichshain, has expanded from a single shop front to a spacious double boutique providing a wide range of fashionable and quality products. In collaboration with Visual Identity Designer Swood, we created a new mature design concept for this boutique enabling it’s unique and charming personality to be highlighted.
A simple and light layout gives a pleasant shopping experience , allowing the customer to browse throughout the boutique within a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
MaGarderobe founder Audrey Martinez brought her French vision of fashion to Berlin. Her trendy collections, directly imported from Paris are loved by Berliners all around the city.
My grey, white, coral minimalist colour concept enabled her vibrant clothing range to be presented in a clear, simpler and therefore effective surrounding.
Select pieces of furniture have been block-colour sprayed to create a reinterpretation of charming retro Parisian decor. A balance of timeless elegance and contemporary fashions.
Elements of theatrical sceneography within these more open spaces, showcases every new collection the boutique retails.

This guest house, located near the canal in the lovely town of Herblay in Region Paris, is composed of two big houses set in a picturesque garden. The owner, originally from Brazil, will guide his South American guests around the beautiful city of Paris and its surrounds, assisting them in their discovery of European, French and Parisian culture.
Each house contains five en suite bedrooms, a large living room, spacious kitchen, patio and fireplace. Guests can also make use of the swimming pool, situated between the two houses.
The interior was thinking to be comtemporary in the common areas and more classical and recognizable as french style in the privat rooms.
The fireplace’s harmonious mix of cold and warm colours, along with the abundant use of browns and greens, leather and stone, build an authentic, convivial atmosphere. The living room, connected to the greenery outside by the large bay windows and furnished with contemporary pieces, is conceived as a modern contrast of black and white, underscored by the extensive use of refined, geometric lines. Upstairs the bedrooms, each of which has its own individual colour scheme, offer a hushed, elegant ambiance through the combination of soft colours, refined tapestry and timeless, dark-toned wooden furniture.
