This apartment is part of a Baugemeinschaft (joint building venture) called the « Fahrradloft ». This project consist of a group of personne that bought together a piece of land, sought allies, promoted the planning and builded their own two houses. Located at Nollendorfplatzt. Each apartment have a spacious balcony areas and are wheelchair accessible. With the lift it goes with bike trailer or stroller right up on the floor.
Perched of the 6th floor this aparment get a nice view of the green near Rummelsburg. For their interior the jung couple owner wished a pleasant atmosphere with natural colors and scandinavian flair. The majority of white walls and hell Wooden furniture should be contrasted with accent of gray and sensual colors. Simple but elegant, it should be praticable and peaceful.
During the building process i visualized their interior to help them plan the furnishing. I conceived for them a color concept for the walls, that enable to put all together. The living room is light gray. The kitchen walls are mild blue. For the master bedroom I created sensual ambiance planning all the walls in Antique violett. This strong but unsaturated color enable to feel in a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

Portfolio of the Service
Whether we wish for your interior a classical or an extravagant style, a vibrant or relaxing atmosphere, when it comes to wall color, it is not easy to decide what is the right hue. Through a careful inquiry during an appointment on site I find out with my clients, what is the ideal tone to apply. Using my chromatic set (Farrow&Ball or Caparol), we look throught the different possibilities and I select the shade that fit the best the ambiance desired. I consider the elements in the rooms, to choose a tone that fit harmoniously with the floor, doors and fittings, furnitures and accessories, to create an elegant and cheerful space.
The challenge for this young family was to manage an enjoyable living in this two room apartment.
For them I visualized different lay out possibilities that enable to fit a welcoming kitchen, a cosy settee area and a tiny parent night corner in one, in order to give the children a room of their own, with a spacious play area, a bunk bed and a large bookshelves.
The second task, after finding different design solutions to divided the main room, was to find a decoration principle that homogenize the all. As their previews apartment interior where minimalistic I decided to create for them an eclectic interior concept. I played with their dominant wished color emerald green and combined it with some warm browns, with the wooden furnitures and the patterns of the fabric. The dark wood gives an oriental touch that i highlighted (support) with some traditional east patterns and accessories.
This mix of contemporary furnitures and vintage items creates a happy ensemble witch aims to be convivial and practical.
